Review & Giveaway: Heroes of the City

Heroes of the City is a children’s television programme set in a city with talking vehicles. Story lines generally seem to centre around the mischief Calamity Crow gets himself into and how the other characters help him. There’s a nice focus on community spirit and the idea that anyone can be a hero simply by being kind and helping others.

Pip’s favourite character is Fiona Fire Engine. I think this might be because her own little Fiona has a movable and extendable ladder, which makes it great for rescuing various other little toys!

There’s an accompanying series of books too. We’ve only read the one but it was a good read and we might well add more of the series to our collection.

I’m very happy to be able to offer you lovely readers a chance to win a bundle of Heroes of the City goodies, including a book, DVD and two toy vehicles. These really are lovely toys – the vehicles are very good quality and have already withstood quite a bit of throwing about and being driven off the edge of tables without any damage at all. Enter below and I’ll announce the winner next Saturday!
